The Black Hills is home to some truly incredible natural wonders. Probably most known for the monumental faces of Mount Rushmore, you can also find Devils Tower, the Wind Cave caverns, the Cathedral Spires of Custer State Park and the otherworldly Badlands National Park. In addition, the Black Hills has over 5 million acres of forest and mountain lands, giving you many outdoor activities to choose from while you are visiting. This area also has a rich western history, from the Indians who have called this place home for centuries, to the gold rush and western exploration, which merits a visit to the still-in-process Crazy Horse Memorial.
